[땡큐뉴스 / 이근우 기자] In the January winter transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur are aiming for Kim Min-jae (25, Fenerbahce SK).
The British media ‘HITC’ quoted the Turkish media ‘Photospor’ on the 25th (Korean time) and said, “Tottenham general manager Fabio Paratici is looking for the defender Antonio Conte wants. Tottenham are again interested in signing Kim Min-jae.”
In August, Kim Min-jae left Beijing Guoan in the Chinese Super League and moved to Fenerbahçe, solidifying his position as a main defender. Fenerbahce, who had a chronic defense problem last season, boasts a solid defense since Kim Min-jae joined.
In particular, Min-jae Kim performed brilliantly against his rival Galatasaray, called the ‘Istanbul Derby’, and was selected as the best player for his 2-1 victory. Fenerbahce is said to have raised the transfer fee for Kim Min-jae from 9 million euros (about 12 billion won) to 20 million euros (about 26.6 billion won).
Tottenham Hotspur have been watching Kim Min-jae for a long time, and there have been reports of a signing promotion. It is news that Kim Min-jae, who is highly regarded as a center back on the European stage, is showing interest again. Earlier, Turkey’s ‘Takvim’ predicted that Tottenham, Juventus and Girondain de Bordeaux would compete to sign.
Meanwhile, Juventus set a fee of 10 million euros (about 13.3 billion won) for Kim Min-jae, and Tottenham is expected to offer more than this.
