Kovid confirmed 22,182 people in the state today. 1,21,486 samples were tested in 24 hours. TPR 18.25%. Today, it has been confirmed that 178 deaths have been caused by Kovid in the last few days. This brings the total death toll to 23,165. Outbreaks were reported in Thrissur 3252, Ernakulam 2901, Thiruvananthapuram 2135, Malappuram 2061, Kozhikode 1792, Palakkad 1613, Kollam 1520, Alappuzha 1442, Kannur 1246, Kottayam 1212, Pathanamthitta 1015, Idukki 973, Wayanad 740 and Kasaragod 280. The Weekly Infection Population Ratio (WIPR) is 2507 wards in 678 local bodies above eight. There will be strict control here.

There are currently 5,54,807 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 5,27,791 are under home / institutional quarantine and 27,016 in hospitals. Of the 1,86,190 Kovid cases, only 13.4 per cent were admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.

Today, 89 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 21,122 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 866 is not clear. 105 health workers were affected by the disease. A total of 26,563 people who had been diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 2446, Kollam 2159, Pathanamthitta 981, Alappuzha 1425, Kottayam 1831, Idukki 987, Ernakulam 3362, Thrissur 2992, Palakkad 1913, Malappuram 2878, Kozhikode 2930, Wayanad 835, Kannur 1506 and Kasaragod 318 were cured. With this, 1,86,190 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. So far 42,36,309 people have been released from Kovid.
