When the new song was released, the music industry praised it
“Don’t miss the current music trend”

Singer Cho Yong-pil (pictured) proved his existence as the ‘King of the Singer’ with a new song released after 9 years.

On the 18th, before releasing his 20th full album next year, Cho Yong-pil released the single ‘Road to 20-Prelude 1’, which contains two songs, ‘In an instant’ and ‘Like the Serengeti’.

The two songs released are from the pop rock genre. Songs were accepted by foreign composers such as Daniel Mukalla and Martin Hansen, and the lyrics were written by lyricist Kim Eana. ‘In an instant’ depicts the critical moment when the mind of ‘I’ subtly changes because of ‘you’, and ‘Like the Serengeti’ is an extension of his representative song ‘The Leopard of Kilimanjaro’ released in 1985 .Based on the experience of visiting the Serengeti at the invitation of the Tanzanian government in 2008, the title includes the content ‘Let’s run towards a wide world like the Serengeti’.

When Cho Yong-pil’s new song was released, the music industry said, “It’s amazing. After all, he’s the king of singers.” Tributes to him, who sang with an incredibly robust voice at the age of 72, were also pouring in. Above all, although he is an older singer, it is said that his efforts not to lose sight of the current musical trend set an example for younger singers. In a phone call on the 21st, popular music critic Lim Jin-mo said, “I didn’t show the rock sound of my peak, but the rock sound of the current generation. It can be seen that he always keeps an eye on the trend,” he said. “We embraces the sensibilities of the younger generation, and it clearly informed us that popular music is on the rise at the moment. It’s a bit of a surprise,” he said.
