Kottayam: The twin brothers were found dead inside their house. Nisar and Nazir, both from Kaduvakulam, were found dead. Locals and friends say the suicide was due to debt. The two were found dead inside the house on Monday morning. Locals and friends say the two are 32 years old.
Both were working as crane service and mercenaries. However, they were in financial crisis after Kovid lost his job. They had taken a loan of around Rs 12 lakh from a bank to build a house. The loan has been repaid only once. During the Kovid period, all avenues for loan repayment were closed due to unemployment.
According to locals, the bank employees were constantly coming to the house asking them to repay the loan. Finally, bank officials arrived last week. Locals say they will not be released for three days after this.
The friend said he met the two in person at 9pm on Sunday. Police have reached the house and started the inquest proceedings.
Both are unmarried. Their mother is Fatima. He has two sisters.
