In a recent statement, the Incheon Airport Police Department confirmed that two American nationals, identified as Mr. A (in his 60s) and Mr. B (in his 40s), had been booked without detention under charges of violating the Act on the Safety Control of Firearms, Swords, Explosives, etc.

Investigations revealed that Mr. A, on the 23rd of last month around 3 pm, was found in possession of two live pistol cartridges in his bag at Incheon International Airport Passenger Terminal 2. He was attempting to board a flight to Seattle, USA.

Similarly, Mr. B was caught with one live pistol cartridge in his carry-on luggage at Incheon International Airport Passenger Terminal 2, on the 22nd of last month around 6 pm. He was about to board a plane to Tokyo, Japan.

Boldly taking action, the airport police confiscated the three live rounds and are currently investigating the specific circumstances surrounding these incidents.

Perpetrators Unaware of the Contraband

Regarding the incident, a police officer stated, “Both these individuals were apprehended during the immigration screening process, unaware that they were carrying live ammunition. They have claimed innocence in this matter.”

Mr. B is suspected of having one live pistol cartridge in his carry-on luggage at Incheon International Airport Passenger Terminal 2 around 6 pm on the 22nd of last month. He was caught with live ammunition in his possession while trying to board a plane to Tokyo, Japan.

The police seized three live rounds and are investigating the specific circumstances of the incident.

Mr. A and Mr. B is currently leaving the country.
