A Guatemalan man in his 20s was caught hiding in an airplane landing gear and smuggled into the United States.

The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) arrested a 26-year-old man who hid in a landing gear as soon as an American Airlines flight from Guatemala arrived in Miami on the 27th (local time), according to foreign media such as Reuters and the Washington Post. said. Authorities plan to transport the man to a hospital, check his health, and decide whether to deport him.

Guatemala is said to account for most of the 1.7 million Latin American immigrants deported to the United States last year to escape extreme poverty and violence.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) statistics, since 1947, a total of 129 people have been caught trying to smuggle into the landing gear.
