Alappuzha: Two children drowned at Omanapuzha near Mararikulam. The deceased were identified as Abhijit (11) and Anagha (10), sons of Napoleon of Omanapuzha. The conclusion is that the accident happened while playing with children who are relatives. The children fell into a ditch near Napoleon’s house just after 6 p.m. I think the children may have gone there to see the construction of the Pulimuttu.
The locals came to know about the accident when the children who were with them started making noise. The children were dead by the time they were taken out of the water. The children’s mother, Ann Maria, is a nurse in Kuwait. Napoleon was a fisherman. Eldest son Ajith. The bodies were taken to Chettikadu hospital.
