During the Yemeni Houthi rebels’ attack on the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the rebels reportedly launched a missile attack targeting Dubai, where President Moon Jae-in was staying.

According to Reuters, UAE Ambassador to the United States Yousef al-Otaiba said in an online forum of a Jewish group on the 20th, “Yemen rebels have launched a ‘Zulfikar’ ballistic missile at Dubai Airport during the UAE airstrike on the 17th.”

Initially, the Houthis were known to have carried out ‘Quds’ cruise missiles and drone strikes against airports and oil refineries in Abu Dhabi. The attack resulted in the death of three Indians and Pakistanis and six injured.

Meanwhile, it was revealed that President Moon Jae-in, who was visiting the UAE at the time, canceled his Abu Dhabi schedule in advance due to ‘unavoidable circumstances of the UAE’ and stayed in Dubai to avoid anger.

However, it turned out that the Houthi rebels attacked not only Abu Dhabi but also Dubai.

However, according to Ambassador Al Otaiva, most of the missiles and drones were intercepted in the middle or failed to hit the target as they landed in the desert due to equipment failure.
