Regarding President Yoon Seok-yeol’s statement that ‘Iran is the United Arab Emirates’, the ruling party leadership vigorously defended it, saying, ‘Isn’t that right?’
Apparently the ruling party took over and revealed President Yoon Seok-yeol’s displeasure that the results of the trip were buried in diplomatic disputes.

At the same time, he also referred to media reports in the past saying that ‘the enemy of the United Arab Emirates is Iran’ and the comments of Kim Jong-dae, a former member of the Justice Party, five years ago.

However, when asked if there was any diplomatic problem, he replied:

President Yoon Seok-yeol emphasized the achievements of the trip at the cabinet meeting, but did not mention the controversy over the Iranian comments.

It seems that the leadership of the ruling party is trying to break through the president’s displeasure that the results of the trip are being buried in diplomatic disputes.
The Democratic Party criticized the president for trying to hide his mistakes and said that diplomacy is more convoluted.
