Dubai : UAE National Day will no longer be celebrated by the world as International Future Day. Every year on December 2, the world celebrates International Future Day. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has approved the observance of World Future Day. UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, made the announcement on Twitter.
UNESCO is an invitation to the nations of the world to embrace the future, to ensure sustainable development for future generations, and to develop skills in the areas of foresight, commitment and policy making.

The recognition is a tribute to the UAE’s global role over the past 50 years in imagining and creating the future, and to its extraordinary efforts to implement economic, industrial and social change. UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay said the organization was also working to develop new ways to enhance international cooperation. The approval was given at the 41st session of the UNESCO General Conference, which concluded in Paris yesterday.
