Ajman: Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, a member of the Supreme Council and ruler of Ajman, has ordered the release of 43 prisoners in connection with the 50th UAE National Day.
The decision is part of an effort to help prisoners realize their mistakes and start a new life and avoid the hardships of their families. Prisoners who behave well during their sentence are released. Ajman Police Commander-in-Chief Major General Sheikh Sultan Al Nuaimi thanked the Ajman ruler and said that steps would be taken to secure their release soon.
UAE National Day; President orders release of 870 prisoners
Abu Dhabi: UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 870 prisoners from prisons in connection with the UAE’s 50th National Day. Those who are convicted of various crimes are released. The decision is part of an effort to give prisoners the opportunity to start a new life and alleviate the suffering of their families. Debts and fines of released prisoners will be waived.
