UAE, Omicron ‘under surveillance’ approves booster dose

Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Health and Immunization has approved the booster dose of the Kovid-19 vaccine for people 18 years of age and older. Eligible categories include those who have been fully vaccinated with two doses of Pfizer-BioNTech and the Sputnik vaccine.

The booster dose is given only 6 months after the second dose. The official spokesman for the health sector, Dr. Mohd. This was announced by Fareeda Al Hosani. Omicron virus; UAE observers

At least 100 doses of the kovid vaccine have been given to 100% of the UAE’s population. 90.31 percent were completely vaccinated. As the population changes over time, this figure does not mean that everyone has been vaccinated, but it does indicate that the vast majority of the intended groups have been vaccinated.

She said she was working to ensure that a specific segment of the population, including residents and new work visa holders, were vaccinated in accordance with medical procedures approved in the country.
