UAE prepares to buy warplanes from France: Biggest raffle deal ever

Dubai: The UAE is preparing to buy a warplane Rafale from France. The UAE has placed an order for 80 warplanes. Today, French President Emmanuel Macron will visit the UAE, followed by Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

The French president’s visit to the Gulf comes at a time when the U.S., which used to arm the Gulf states, has not given them enough consideration recently. France has its own military base here. The UAE is also purchasing 12 helicopters and equipment, along with Rafale fighter jets.

The UAE acquires Rafale fighter jets from France, followed by Greece, Egypt and Croatia. The $ 15 billion deal is the largest in the history of Rafale fighter jets.
