Mumbai: Political drama continues in Maharashtra. Shiv Sena leader Kailash Patil, who escaped from a group leaving for Gujarat, reached Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in the early hours of the morning after walking for miles in the rain and riding his bike and truck. Osmanabad MLA Kailash Patil escaped at a border check post while the MLAs led by Eknath Shinde were on their way to Gujarat.

Patil had told party leaders that he had to walk five kilometers in the rain and traveled to Mumbai by bike and truck. He informed the party of all that had happened. The MLAs were instructed to reach Thane after a dinner on Monday night. Kailash Patil said he left when he was informed that the MLAs were having dinner after the Legislative Council elections on Monday.

According to party sources, Kailash Patil said that there was no suspicion at the time but the car was diverted to another lane. It was also informed that Eknath Shinde will speak to the MLAs.

According to party sources, Kailash Patil has been in touch with the CM’s office since he escaped from the border.
