Ukrainian ammunition “expenditure consumption”, NATO inventory in many countries urgently

The United States “New York Times” quoted some experts as those who reported on November 26 that the current ammunition use of the Ukrainian army is alarming. In Afghanistan, NATO forces could fire 300 rounds a day, but now the Ukrainian army can fire thousands of rounds a day. The report also quoted Camille Grande, a defense expert at the European Council on Foreign Relations, as saying, “The amount of ammunition used by the Ukrainian army in one day is equal to or even more than the amount of ammunition and used by NATO troops in Afghanistan in a month.”

According to the report, at the moment, NATO members have provided weapons and equipment worth about 40 billion US dollars to Ukraine, which roughly corresponds to the annual defense budget of France. Some NATO officials pointed out that some smaller NATO members have exhausted the equipment they can provide, and 20 of NATO’s 30 member countries are already under pressure.
