[Reuters]— According to British intelligence, Ukrainian troops have retaken some parts of the north from Russian troops, forcing Russian troops to withdraw from the suburbs of Chernihiv and the northern capital of Kyiv.

The British Department of Defense said in a regular post on Twitter that small-scale fighting could continue in areas regained by Ukrainian troops, but that fighting would decrease with the withdrawal of Russian troops. Many withdrawing Russian troops have analyzed that they are likely to need to be re-equipped before being redeployed in eastern Ukraine.
