[OSEN=정승우 기자] Minamino Takumi (27, Liverpool) is expected to leave Liverpool and head to the French stage.

British ‘Sky Sports’ announced on the 22nd (Korean time), “AS Monaco and Liverpool have reached an agreement on the transfer of Takumi Minamino. The transfer fee is £15.5 million (about 24.6 billion KRW).”

In the 2019-2020 season, Minamino, who left RB Salzburg for Liverpool, played only 10 league games (242 minutes) that season, showing a failure in the starting competition. After that, he saw an opportunity again through loan to Southampton, but he did not become a regular for the 2021-2022 season as well.

But Minamino showed his true worth in the FA Cup and EFL Carabao Cup. In nine appearances, he scored seven goals and provided one assist, playing an important role in winning both competitions.

Minamino, who has not been able to establish himself at Liverpool despite such performances, is expected to leave England and move to France.

The media added, “The transfer fee is 12.9 million pounds (about 20.4 billion won) plus an additional 2.6 million pounds (about 4.1 billion won) for a total of 24.6 billion won, and both clubs have agreed to the transfer.”

On the other hand, according to Yahoo Sports on the 21st, Minamino said, “Many games I played didn’t get anyone’s attention. Even if I left the results, there wasn’t much reaction. I did my best to prove my worth, but I get rid of regret and anger every day. I felt motivated,” he said sadly. /reccos23@osen.co.kr
