On the 13th, the Ministry of Unification said, “There is a possibility that North Korea will announce that the Corona crisis has been resolved in June,” given the trend of North Korea’s announcement of Corona 19.

Cho Jung-hoon, spokesman for the Ministry of Unification, raised this possibility at a regular briefing on the same day, saying, “If you look at North Korea’s announcements alone, you can judge that the Corona situation is improving in appearance.”

Spokesperson Cho Jung-hoon said, “According to the announcement by the North Korean authorities, the number of new fever patients has dropped to the 30,000 level, and the number of fever patients is on the decline, and the number of deaths remains at 1 or 0. ·The number of patients receiving treatment is about 65,000, the lowest since May 12, when North Korea published statistics,” he said.

The number of new fever patients in North Korea surged to about 390,000 on the 15th of last month, peaking at the peak, and then steadily declining, falling to the current 30,000 level.

However, as the death toll compared to the number of fever cases disclosed by North Korea is too small, and it seems that North Korea’s announcement of COVID-19-related statistics is aimed at calming public sentiment, criticism continues to be made that the credibility is low.

If North Korea officially announces ‘resolving the corona crisis’ soon, it is observed that this also includes a political intention to deepen public sentiment and mobilize manpower to various fields.

On the other hand, Spokesperson Cho Jung-hoon said, “In order for the party to play a central role in implementing the decisions of the party plenary meeting, The intention is to strengthen the device.”
