‘Galaxy Unpacked’ to be held in the United States on February 1st
The prospects to become PR ambassadors for BTS and Faker
As the unboxing event of Samsung Electronics’ flagship smartphone series ‘Galaxy S23’ (new product release) approaches, a BTS unpacked promotional video has been released.
On the 31st, Samsung Electronics uploaded a promotional video featuring BTS on the official ‘Samsung Mobile’ Twitter account.
Along with the video, “Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Join us on our journey towards a brighter future with small changes every day. Don’t miss #SamsungUnpackek on February 1, 2023 for more details!” post article . The hashtag ‘Galaxy x BTS’ was also attached.
Earlier, on the 29th, Samsung Electronics released a silhouette image believed to be BTS and Faker on its official Twitter, raising expectations for the Galaxy S23 Unpack.
On the same day, the same photo was posted on Samsung Electronics’ official Instagram, leaving messages saying “Wait until February 1st” and “You’ll know who it is at Samsung Unpacked on February 1st.” As a result, the hope that BTS and Faker will go to the front to promote the Galaxy S23 is growing.
BTS regularly appeared in the Galaxy S21 and S22 promotional video, Galaxy Zflip4 Unpacked after first appearing in the Galaxy Buzz Plus promotional video in February 2020.
It seems that the ‘gaming’ function will be emphasized through Faker (Lee Sang-hyeok), a popular professional League of Legends (LOL) player. It is expected that the previous galaxy s22 series will emphasize the gaming function as much as it was swept away from the controversy of the game optimization service (GOS).
The Galaxy S23 Unpack will be held in San Francisco, USA on February 1 at 10 am (local time). In Korean time, it is 3:00 am on the 2nd of the same month. This is the first time since the announcement of the Galaxy S20 series in 2020 that Samsung Electronics has held an unpacked face-to-face event. It will be broadcast live online as well as offline through the Samsung Electronics website.
