Up to 40 off mackerel and pollock… Korea Fisheries Daejeon Special Exhibition

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced on the 19th that it will hold the ‘Korea Fisheries Daejeon-June Surprise Special Exhibition’ from the 20th to the 6th of next month in order to promote seafood consumption and maintain a stable trend of seafood prices.

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries held the ‘2022 Korea Fisheries Exhibition’ until May of this year and achieved a fishery product sales of 90.3 billion won.

At this event, discounts will be held for 6 popular fish species such as squid, mackerel, pollack, cutlassfish, kiwi, and dried anchovies, as well as for takeaways where consumption at home has increased due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

12 offline stores, including E-Mart, Homeplus, Lotte Mart, GS Retail, and E-Mart Traders, and 19 online shopping malls including SSG.com, Coupang, and WeMakep will participate in the event.

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries provides a 20% discount with a limit of 10,000 won per person.

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries explained that if the participating companies’ own discounts are added, the item can be purchased at a discount of up to 40%.

At this event, consumers can purchase mobile seafood gift certificates that can be used in traditional markets at a 20% discount through the Zero Pay application operated by the Korea Simplified Payment Promotion Agency.
