Update: Paige VanZant sets a timeline for a UFC return after a second hand break

Just last week, hurling weight contestant Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Paige VanZant revealed that she had suffered another break in her hand, leaving her to fight against Poliana Botelho at UFC 236 on 13 April.

Now that she has time to assess the injury, “12 Gauge” says she won't keep it too long. Depending on what X-rays reveal, of course.

“So there's only a right break on my screw site,” VanZant said in her Instagram stories courtesy of MMA Junkie. “My hand is still crazy, so we're just waiting for the swell to go down,” she said.

“We are going to make x-ray a month, and I think I'll be good to go. This means I have to take a month away from contact. After that month, I can sign a combat contract and enter a fighting camp. ”

VanZant was first broken in January 2018 during a fight against Jessica Rose-Clark at UFC Combat Night 124. Despite the injuries, Paige finished the fight and finally lost his decision to unanimously.

“12 Gauge” returned to the winning road in his previous tour, bringing Rachael Ostovich out to UFC on ESPN + 1 in January 2019 (see it here again), stopping his two losses back to the Controller above and Michelle Waterson.
