The TTC was established between the US and the EU to promote trade and investment between the two sides and strengthen technological cooperation.

Launched in September last year, the TTC also has a joint response to China’s unfair trade practices.

However, at this meeting, the issue of unfair competition due to discrimination in electric car subsidies by the US IRA was addressed as a major issue.

The US and the EU also launched a separate TF in October to discuss the issue of discrimination in subsidies for electric vehicles.
