The United States strongly condemns North Korea’s reckless and dangerous decision to launch a long-range ballistic missile over Japan on the 3rd (local time) in response to North Korea’s medium-range ballistic missile launch.
The White House National Security Council (NSC) said in a statement on behalf of a spokesman on the evening of the same day, “This action creates unrest in the region and shows North Korea’s blatant disregard for UN Security Council resolutions and security norms international. .”
The NSC continued, “Security Adviser Jake Sullivan spoke with the security chiefs of Korea and Japan, respectively. In both calls, Sullivan discussed an appropriate and robust international joint response. Adviser Sullivan spoke with Japan and the United States We reaffirm our promise company.”
