[ワシントン 3日 ロイター] – The Biden administration’s additional $625 million military aid package for Ukraine is expected to include four “HIMARS” High Mobility Rocket Artillery Systems (HIMARS). Two people familiar with the matter told Reuters on Thursday. It will be published on the 4th at the earliest.
This aid measure is the first since Russia announced the annexation of four provinces of eastern and southern Ukraine. It will also be the second such aid since mid-September, when the Ukrainian military had significant results, under the Presidential Emergency Stockpile Authority (PDA), which allows the transfer of surplus domestic weapons.
Using the PDA, four Hymers and their rockets, around 200 Mine Resistant and Ambush Protected Vehicles (MRAP), howitzer ammunition and mines can be sent to Ukraine in the coming days.
The White House declined to comment on the aid package.
The size and content of the aid package could change at the last minute, said the person, who asked not to be named.
