The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will allocate $135 million for economic recovery in Ukraine and Moldova.
This is stated in a USAID press release, Ukrinform reports.
Another 18 million dollars from a single tranche will be directed to “support for civil society and independent media in the Russian Federation.” It is noted that the money will be allocated from the liquidated US-Russian Investment Fund (US Russia Investment Fund, TUSRIF).
“With these funds, the USAID Partner Fund will be able to support a sustainable private sector that will create jobs and help revitalize the agriculture and manufacturing sectors in countries. This support will also help Ukraine and Moldova continue to modernize and develop their economies and follow the European path,” the statement said.
