Vaccine: G20 member states to pay another $ 4.6 billion

Riyadh: The G20 summit agreed to provide $ 4.6 billion for the development of the Kovid vaccine. This is in response to the United Nations’ demand for this amount of vaccine research before December. This is in addition to the $ 21 billion previously provided.

The two-day summit in Riyadh was attended by 19 countries and the European Union. King Salman of Saudi Arabia has handed over the presidency of Italy to the next summit. King Salman said Kovid had proved that international cooperation and joint action were essential to overcome the global crisis.
