Manchester United coach Rangnick’s coaching contract expires this summer. Manchester United is looking for a new coach. Dutch coach Ten Hag is one of the candidates. The Dutch coach Van Gaal, who once coached Manchester United, reminded Ten Hag that it is best not to go to Manchester United.
Ten Hag is currently Ajax manager, but he is ready to leave the club to coach other teams this summer. But coach Van Gaal reminded compatriot Ten Hag not to coach Manchester United.
Van Gaal, who currently coaches the Netherlands national team, said this week: “I think Ten Hag is a great manager and a great manager would be a good choice for Manchester United. It was a tough choice. I wouldn’t advise Ten Hag, but he should have chosen a football club, not a commercial club.”
Van Gaal coached Manchester United from 2014 to 2016 and led the team to the FA Cup. However, Van Gaal’s coaching career at Manchester United was not successful as a whole. Perhaps it was the unpleasant coaching experience that made Van Gaal persuade his junior Ten Hag not to go to Manchester United.
In addition to Ten Hag, Manchester United’s new coach candidates include Pochettino, Lopetegui, and Enrique, but the Spanish national team coach Enrique currently has no idea of coaching Manchester United. Enrique told Spain’s pre-match press conference against Iceland: “I will play with Spain at the World Cup in Qatar, why do I have any doubts? How many times must I repeat it?
