Victory in 4 out of 5 people’s power replenishment

This time, we would like to share with you the news of the re-election for the National Assembly members held along with the presidential election.

As the Democratic Party of Korea did not present any candidates in three constituencies, the People’s Power easily won in four out of five districts.

Independent candidates from the People’s Power were also elected in Jung-gu and Nam-gu, Daegu.

In the so-called by-election in Jongno, Seoul, the so-called political district, candidate Choi Jae-hyung, who served as the chief of the Board of Audit and Inspection, was elected, and the conservative party won the first time in 10 years.

Candidate Jae-hyeong Choi (52.1%) and former Jongno-gu mayor Kim Young-jong (28.4%) who ran as an independent from the Democratic Party. Justice Party candidate Bae Bok-joo won 15.3 percent of the vote.

The Democratic Party of Korea did not run a candidate, saying that it would take responsibility for the by-election due to the resignation of former lawmaker Lee Nak-yeon.

In Seocho-gap, Seoul, where the Democratic Party and the people’s power had an all-out war, candidate Cho Eun-hee, the people’s power, was elected.

It was the first time in four years since the election of the mayor of Seocho-gu in 2018, a rematch with the Democratic Party candidate Jeong-geun Lee was held, and again, candidate Cho defeated Lee.

A close match took place in Jung-gu and Nam-gu, Daegu, the conservative gardens where the power of the people did not raise candidates due to suspicions of bribery by former lawmaker Kwak Sang-do.

Independent Candidate Lim Byung-hun, who came from People’s Power, narrowly defeated Kwon Young-hyeon of the People’s Party with 21.6%, with 22.4%, while Democratic Party candidate Baek Su-beom took only 19.4%.

As the Democratic Party lawmakers were sentenced to nullify their election, in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, and Cheongju, Chungbuk, where the Democratic Party did not vote, Candidate Hak-yong Kim of People’s Power and Candidate Woo-taek Jung of People’s Power entered without blood with overwhelming votes, respectively.
