According to comprehensive land media reports, on October 6, a video from a public in Qixian County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province showed that the Changyuan River Bridge between Qixian County and Dongguan Town on the Nantong-Pu Line was washed down by floods, and a railway track several meters of sleepers was suspended in the air. . A freight train came to an emergency stop on the railroad tracks, and the scene was very dangerous. Local residents said that the floods washed away the railway foundation, leaving only the rails and sleepers standing in the air, like a chain bridge.

The abutment of Changyuan River Bridge was washed down, resulting in the suspension of trains such as 1551, K7807/8, K604, K866, K731, K610, 4641, 2604; K603, 1552 and other trains were delayed. Through passenger trains passing through Taiyuan and Daping stations are also delayed or suspended to varying degrees.

In the early morning of the 6th, 9 landslides occurred in the Lingshi section of the Jingkun Expressway, and traffic was interrupted in both directions. The side slope at k834+700 in the Changzhi direction of the Tailong section of the Erguang Expressway collapsed, and several toll stations were closed.

On the morning of the 6th, a landslide occurred in Wukongyao, Pu County, Shanxi Province. A large amount of soil poured out from the mountain, and there were parked vehicles buried under the mountain. Nearby residential buildings suffered varying degrees of damage.

At about 11 pm on October 5, a landslide occurred in Jingpo Village, Pu County, Shanxi Province, causing 5 people to be buried. The trapped people were rescued, of which 4 were killed and 1 injured.

On the 5th, dykes broke in many places in Qingxu and Qixian sections of the Wuma River in Shanxi Province, and many villages were flooded. Approximately 15,000 people from 8 local villages were evacuated overnight.

In addition, due to rainfall, railway traffic in Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia and other places was also affected. The continuous heavy rains suspended 59 trains from Xi’an, Shaanxi Province or via the local area on October 6, and many scenic spots including the Yellow River Hukou Waterfall were closed. A landslide occurred in Nanzheng District of Hanzhong City on the same day, and 449 people from 143 households had to be evacuated. As of 8 o’clock that night, the heavy rain caused a total of 53,729 people in 76 towns in the city.
