[이데일리 이선영 기자] A man in his 30s has been arrested by the police for pushing an unidentified woman onto the track on a Hong Kong subway platform. The victim fell down the track, but luckily, she was saved before the train arrived.
On the 28th (local time), Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post reported that a 33-year-old suspect A pushed a 47-year-old woman B, a 47-year-old woman who was walking past him, onto a track and dropped it. At that time, the scene of the incident was filmed on video and spread through various social networking services (SNS).
In the released video, Mr. A was standing near the edge of the platform, and when Mr. B passed by, he roughly pushed it with both hands. At this, Mr. B went down the track 1m down and fell, but got up immediately. Mr. A pushed Mr. B and walked leisurely as if nothing had happened, and other people at the scene immediately ran to the site where Mr. B had fallen.
Fortunately, Mr. B escaped the terrible situation before the train arrived, and was transported to a nearby hospital with bruises on his shoulder and hand. He is now said to have been discharged.
Police immediately launched a search for the suspect immediately after the incident and discovered that Mr. A lives near Tai Hing and works as a driver in the transportation industry.
A and B do not know each other, and the exact motive of the incident has not been revealed.
