Red Bull Honda F1 has released a digest video of the 2021 F1 World Championship in which Max Verstappen won the drivers’ title.
The 2021 season was decided to be the last year of the Honda F1. Honda introduced the F1 engine, which was planned to be introduced in 2022, one year ahead of schedule. Red Bull’s 2021 F1 machine “RB16B” became the first machine to challenge the Mercedes F1.
Experienced Sergio Perez has replaced Alexander Albon on the team. We have put in place a system to “fight with two cars” with Mercedes F1 which has not been realized so far.
Lewis Hamilton won the opening round, but Max Verstappen won his first victory of the season in the second round, and Sergio Perez won his first victory after the transfer in the sixth round. From Round 5 to Round 10, Honda has won five consecutive victories since 1988.
Max Verstappen had a tire burst at the F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton’s crash at the F1 British Grand Prix and the F1 Italian Grand Prix, and Valtteri Bottas at the F1 Hungarian Grand Prix. So, he won his first F1 World Champion with a stable record of 10 wins and 2nd place finish except for the championship.
