HThe movie ‘Vidhi: the verdict’ directed by Kannan Thamarakkulam against the backdrop of the demolition of the flat will hit theaters tomorrow (December 30). The film had earlier announced a release date twice. The first title of the film was ‘Marat 357’. The name was later changed in the wake of the High Court judgment. Vidhi is Kannan Thamarakulam’s movie which will be released after Udumba.
The release was delayed after the makers of the demolished flats in Maradu approached the court against the film. The movie was blocked by the Ernakulam Munsiff Court when it was scheduled to release in theaters on March 19. The case was then referred to the High Court. It was handed over to the Ministry for decision after the High Court hearing. Eventually it was decided to change the name of the film.
The film is scripted by Dinesh Pallath and the cinematography is by Ravi Chandran. Editing by VT Sreejith. Music 4 Music. Choreography by Dinesh Master. Anoop Menon will be joined by Dharmajan Bolgatti, Sheelu Abraham, Noorin Sharif, Manoj K Jayan, Baiju Santosh, Sajil Sudarshan, Senthil Krishna, Sudheesh, Harish Kanaran, Kailash, Sreejith Ravi, Jayan Cherthala and Sarayu.
Produced by Abraham Mathew under the banner of Abam Movies and Sudarshan Kanjiramkulam under the banner of Swarnalaya Cinemas. A total of 357 families lost their homes in the Maratha flat demolition incident, which was reported in the national media.
