Alappuzha: ADGP Vijay Sakhare has said that he is ready to resign if the allegations of SDPI activists who summoned Jai Shriram in police custody are proved. The allegations of the leaders in this regard are baseless. Vijay Sakhar said that the people arrested in connection with the murder of the BJP leader were SDPI sympathizers and not directly involved.

Those arrested were people who aided the killers. Vijay Sakhar said that 350 centers were inspected last night and the inspections will continue.

The SDPI district president alleged that the police had asked Jai Shriram to call the detainees at a peace meeting held at the Alappuzha Collectorate yesterday. After the meeting, the SDPI lodged a complaint.
