Violation of Kovid protocol; Case against League’s Waqf protection rally | IUML | case

Kozhikode: The police has registered a case against the Waqf protection rally organized by the Kozhikode Muslim League on December 9. The white man was charged with violating the Kovid protocol, marching without permission, obstructing traffic and unlawful association. Tens of thousands of people attended the public meeting held at Kozhikode beach.

Most of the participants in the rally did not even wear masks. According to the police, the case was registered against him for organizing the event without even following the Kovid protocol and without permission. The case has been registered against prominent leaders and activists.

Police did not say which leaders the case was against. Police say they will investigate the matter and clarify later. The move comes amid political controversy over a Waqf protection rally. Meanwhile, it is learned that there will be an official response from the league leadership to the case soon.
