Chennai: The Central Crime Branch has been handed over the probe into the suicide case of serial actress VJ Chithra. The action was taken after the family met the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister demanding a detailed inquiry. The court sought a report from the government on the bail plea of ​​Homnath, the husband of the arrested Chitra.

Chithra, a Tamil serial actress, was found dead in a hotel room on December 9. Hemnath was arrested on December 15 on suicidal intent charges. According to the police, the film was put under a lot of pressure when Hemnath was forced to quit acting and started arguing on the set after they got engaged after getting engaged.

Shortly after Homnath’s arrest, the family met Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswamy, alleging that more people were involved in the death. The case was handed over to the Central Crime Branch. The order was issued by City Police Commissioner Mahesh Kumar Agarwal.

The High Court sent a notice to the government to state its position on Homnath’s bail application. In the application, Hemnath alleges that the arrest was made on fabricated charges. Hemnath was arrested yesterday for allegedly cheating more than Rs 1 crore from three children by offering them an MBBS seat.
