The legendary manager who led Rangers to 10 Scottish League titles has died at the age of 73.
Former Rangers, Everton and Scotland national team manager Walter Smith Died today at the age of 73.
The Scottish coach is a legendary Rangers coach who has been in charge of the army twice. Starting in the first round from 1991-1998, where he led the team to seven consecutive Scottish League titles between 1991-1997, before moving on to the Premier League with Everton in 1998-2002.
Then in March 2004 he was recruited by Sir Alex Ferguson to work as an assistant coach at Manchester. United for a short term until only May. It made him part with the Red Devils’ FA Cup winner that year as well.

Later in December of the same year, Smith was appointed as the Scotland national team manager. He served in this role until January 2007 before deciding to return to work as Rangers’ manager again. He won three more Scottish league titles, including one UEFA Cup runner-up, before deciding to retire from the team in 2011.
Smith had to undergo surgery without revealing details of his illness in March. and had to be treated at the hospital since then until his death at the age of 73 today (October 3)
