Waqf board psc issue Samastha not in to protest says Jifri Thangal

He said that there was no such thing as a strike for Samastha and that the protest had been informed

Malappuram: Samastha Jamiyyathul Ulema president Geoffrey Muthukoya Thangal said that there was no agitation in the decision to appoint the Waqf board to PSC. He also said that the Samastha Samaram has not been declared. He was speaking to the media at Malappuram Cholari.

Samastha’s decision was to pass a protest resolution. After that, it was decided to talk to the Chief Minister. But before that he called for a discussion. It did not say whether the decision could be reversed. He said further action could be avoided and future matters could be discussed with those concerned. Geoffrey asked if that was a polite word.

He said that there was no such thing as a strike for Samastha and that the protest had been informed. The General Coordinating Committee will not compromise with any political party, including the Muslim League. He added that the coordination committee will be formed when they convene.

The leaders had told the media that after meeting the Chief Minister yesterday, the Chief Minister had assured them that the appointment would not be left to PSC immediately and that the Chief Minister had informed them that there would be a detailed discussion on the issue.
