‘Kurup’ is a film based on the life of Sukumara Kurup, one of India’s biggest captives. The movie starring Dulquar Salman was shot in Kerala, Mumbai, Mysore, Ahmedabad and Dubai for six months. The heroine of the movie is Shobhitha Dhulipala who came to Malayalam through the movie Moothon. Fans are waiting for the release of the film.

Meanwhile, another star is catching the attention of social media. Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran shared a film in 2010 celebrating Trolls. Prithviraj can be seen in the picture with a long mustache and hair falling on his face. “Isn’t this our catch Sukumara Kurup?” That is what some people have commented on the film. “Was Prithviraj supposed to act in Kurup first?” That is the question of some trolls. ‘Kurup’ will be directed by Srinath Rajendran, the director of Dulquar’s first film ‘Second Show’. Apart from Malayalam, the film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Indrajith Sukumaran will play a major role in the film. The film also stars Sunny Wayne, Vijayaraghavan, Shine Tom Chacko, Surabhi Lakshmi and Shivajith Padmanabhan in notable roles.

Sukumara Kurup is the main accused in the Chacko murder case which took place on January 22, 1984. Chacko, a film representative, was strangled to death and his body was cremated in a car. It is said that Sukumara Kurup tried to show that it was his own death by killing Chacko, who resembled Sukumara Kurup.

Sukumara Kurup was 38 years old at the time of the crime. If alive, the biggest catcher in the history of Kerala would be 71 years old. It is believed that Sukumara Kurup went abroad after the crime. Co-accused driver Ponnappan and brother-in-law Bhaskara Pillai were sentenced to life imprisonment.
