It’s a short track track that’s been in turmoil again recently. Suspicion of wiretapping was also raised following suspicions of intentional collision with Shim Suk-hee during the Pyeongchang Olympics.

Three years ago, the women’s short track team, which rose to first place with Shim Seok-hee pushing Choi Min-jeong, won the gold medal in the last minute in the women’s 3000m relay at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

In contrast to the women’s speed team pursuit, which was controversial at the time, this scene remained as a symbol of teamwork in the short track.

However, contrary to the appearance, it seems that there was a lot of distrust and competition within the team.

A cell phone message that Shim Suk-hee shared with a coach during the competition appeared to suggest this, as well as a situation where he was trying to record secretly in the locker room.

Shim Suk-hee is curious about the conversation between a competitor and the coach, and even wonders whether to leave the locker room with the recorder turned on.

However, since there was no related conversation after that, it is not known whether the actual recording was done secretly.

This conversation is part of the opinion submitted to the second trial by coach Jo Jae-beom, who is being tried on charges of sexual assault, like the conversation that caused the suspicion of ‘intentional collision’.

As private conversations were leaked during the litigation process, content that unexpectedly implied conflicts within the national team at the time was also known.

The ice skating federation will issue a result after investigating it, and Shim Suk-hee, who has been excluded from the national team for the time being, will not be able to participate in the Short Track World Cup starting next week.
