Indian all-rounder Washington Sunder has been ruled out of the Test series against England due to injury. Indian batsman Mohammad Siraj’s bouncer has been ruled out of the World XI’s World Cup qualifier against India. Along with Washington, pacer Avesh Khan was also ruled out of the series due to injury. India, who scored 311 in the first innings of the warm-up match, bowled out the County XI for 220. Haseeb Hameed was the only batsman to score 112 runs for the County XI. For India, Umesh Yadav took three wickets and Mohammad Siraj two. Batting in the second innings, India scored 98 runs for the loss of one wicket. Mayank Agarwal (47) and Cheteshwar Pujara (38) were out. Hanuma Vihari (7) and Ravindra Jadeja (1) remain at the crease.

Meanwhile, the England Cricket Board has announced the squad for the first two matches of the Test series against India. England have announced a 17-man squad. Injured Joffre Archer and Chris Vokes were left out of the squad. Ben Stokes, Johnny Bairstow, Sam Curran and Jose Butler, who were rested for the series against New Zealand, are back in the squad. The Test series starts on August 4 at Trent Bridge. There are four matches in the Test series.
