Daejeon City sets up until April 30, when the risk of large-scale forest fires is highest during the year, as a special countermeasure period. With large and small forest fires continuing nationwide due to recent dry weather, the city raised the forest fire disaster crisis alert to the ‘warning’ stage on March 6, and designated the period until the rainy season as a special forest fire prevention period.
