Wayne Arthur Larson, 77, of Rochester, died peacefully with his family at his side on 13 April 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital.

Wayne was born 24 August, 1941, in Aberdeen, S.D., to William and Evelyn (Dame) Larson. He graduated from St. Patrick's Park High School, then graduated with a bachelor of electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1963, followed by his masters in electrical engineering in 1965. Wayne joined IBM as an electrical engineer.

Wayne married on December 19, 1970, with Ilona "Kitty" Rozsa at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Rochester. The couple lived in Country Club Manor, where they made their first home, and the eldest son, Steven, joined the family in 1975. In 1976, the family was welcomed by the family, Andrea. Then, in 1977, they moved to Oronoco Township. From 1980 to 1981, the family temporarily moved to Burlington, Vt, while Wayne added his education and career to IBM. Back to Rochester, the family increased again when son, Thomas, was added in 1982. In 1984, the family moved to Endicott, N.Y., for an assignment of 10 months through Wayne's employment with IBM. After retiring from IBM, Wayne resumed his education, gaining his master of mathematics from Mankato State University in spring 1996.

Wayne was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Wayne was delighted to volunteer in RCTC Learning Center as a maths tutor as well as volunteering to help students at Hawthorne Elementary School. Wayne enjoyed creating carved wood projects and his family and friends were delighted with his creations.
