Wayne Rooney inducted into Premier League Hall of Fame

Rooney, Manchester United’s all-time top scorer, is second behind Alan Shearer (260) with 208 points in the Premier League.

Rooney joined Old Trafford in August 2004.

His talent for scoring memorable goals in English football’s top league continued even when he moved to Manchester United. He won the Premier League Goal of the Season twice in 2004/05 for a long volley against Newcastle United and for a bicycle kick in a home game against Manchester City in 2010/11.

In 13 seasons with United, Rooney scored 183 goals He became Manchester United’s record scorer. From 2006/07 season to 2008/09 season, he won the championship five times, including three consecutive wins. He also won the Player of the Month award five times and was named League’s Player of the Year for the 2009/10 season.
