‘We fans will not deny this team’; Varalakshmi Sarathkumar said that it is with Chennai

Tamil Nadu cricketer Varalakshmi Sarathkumar has come out in support of the Chennai Super Kings, who are out of the IPL for a 10 – wicket loss to Mumbai Indians. Varalakshmi tweeted that there was no problem in dismissing the favorite team in this defeat. Varalakshmi says that even after being suspended from the IPL for two years, her fans were still with the team. Varalakshmi’s tweet is accompanied by a chart of how many other teams in the IPL have missed the play-offs.

“I will be a CSK fan for life. We fans will not deny this team. We were with this team even for two years when we did not play. We are still with them. YOU CSK”, Varalakshmi tweeted, tagging MS Dhoni.

For the first time in the history of the IPL, Chennai will be eliminated from the top four. After losing the toss and opting to bat, Chennai scored 114 for nine in the allotted overs. In reply, Mumbai reached the target in 12.2 overs without losing a wicket. Ishant Kishan (68 off 37 balls) and Quinton de Kok (46 off 37 balls) were the main contributors. Earlier, Trent Bolt’s four-wicket haul kept Chennai at bay.
