West Virginia COVID-19 update

Charleston, W.Va. (WSAZ) – As of Saturday, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) is reporting 206 new positive cases and five additional coronavirus-related deaths.

This brings the total number of cases to 17,913 and the number of deaths to 381.

DHHR confirmed the deaths of a 78-year-old male from Mercer County, a 92-year-old female from Kanawha County, a 79-year-old male from Kanawha County, a 96-year-old female from Fayette County, and a female from 71 years old. year old male from Kanawha County.

Bill J. Crouch, DHHR Cabinet Secretary, says, “We send our solidarity to these families and ask all citizens of West Virginia to abide by guidelines to protect each other.”
