West Virginia newspaper publisher Charlie Walton dies

Charles L. "Charlie" Walton, the retired publisher of the Moundsville Daily Echo, has died. It was 78.

West Virginia West Press Press says in Walton's statement Saturday's death at Huntington's healthcare facility. The statement did not provide a cause of death.

Walton's owner and publisher was at the newspaper in Moundsville from 1995 to 2014. He also had a passion for photography and worked in all the ability of the newspaper.

St Peter's Episcopal Church has a private internship planned in Huntington. The statement states that Kenova's Rollins Homekeeper is helping the family.
