A movie in Huntington, West Virginia West, is beginning to host a movie screening to meet people with sensory needs.
Huntington Herald-Sent displays the Marquee Types exhibitions will include open subtitles, reduced movie volume and allow guests to make and move around noise. Shutters will also be turned into and guests will be allowed to take outdoor snacks to meet any special dietary needs.
The theater says he decided to host the new monthly bid after he had a successful pilot screening in December. An assistant manager in Marquee Cinemas, Andrea Merritt, says that the screening will provide entertainment "for a whole community that does not usually come to the movies."
So far, screening is scheduled through the summer of the second Saturday of every month.
