Western Power to create an open garden at its headquarters

[이데일리 문승관 기자] Korea Western Power announced on the 13th that it held an ‘open-type office building garden commemorative event’ at its headquarters in Taean, Chungcheongnam-do to improve the working environment and communicate with local residents.

The office garden created this time, ‘Seobu Trak’, is a space for the realization of a future-oriented workplace where Western Power employees and local residents can communicate and commune with nature. Since 2019, Western Power has been striving to provide a work space that promotes collaboration, communication, and innovation for efficient improvement of working methods.

Last year, we created a space for collaboration and communication between local residents and employees by creating a cafeteria and convenience store in the lobby on the first floor of the headquarters for internal and external visitors, and building large-scale media facilities. This year, a complex space including a competency enhancement center and a new and renewable energy customer support center for revitalizing non-face-to-face education was prepared to strengthen the working conditions of employees. In addition, landscape lighting using LEDs was installed in the office building and Seobu Trek so that the open office garden can be used even at night, and various emotional lighting allows users to feel emotional stability.

A photo zone sculpture and benches that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and genders were added to the fun by installing a photo zone in Seobu Trak, and a flower zone and healing trails that change with each season were decorated to relieve fatigue accumulated by Corona 19. It is expected that rental facilities such as the convention hall (music and theater performances) opened in the headquarters and ‘People and Space’ for art and themed exhibitions will be further revitalized by the creation of Seobu Trak.

An official from Western Power said, “We hope that West Trak will become a non-face-to-face rest space where employees and local residents can stay for a long time, commune with nature, and receive new ideas and emotional healing. We will create a space where public companies can communicate and collaborate together,” he said.
