Made with a wheat base, with notes of juniper, coriander, angelica, licorice, pink grapefruit, lemon and orange – this complex combination of ingredients forms the basis of Brad Pitt’s new gin. The alcoholic drink is called The Gardener French Riviera Gin and was presented during the Cannes Film Festival.
The gin was displayed at the iconic luxury Carlton Hotel on the French Riviera. A cocktail named “Secret Garden” was created especially for the occasion, which, according to the “Hollywood Reporter”, was sold at a price of 32 euros. It was a journalist of the publication who was one of the first to taste Brad Pitt’s gin cocktail. That’s editor Rebecca Keegan, who described the drink as “sophisticated and classic.”
Brad Pitt created his brand of gin together with distiller Tom Nicol and Mathieu Perrin from the famous French winery Famille Perrin, with whom they have been partnering for many years. They have been working together ever since Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie bought Château Miraval, a winery specializing in the production of rosé. When Pitt and Jolie broke up, she sold her shares, but the actor continued to develop in the alcohol business.

In 2016, he announced that he was saved from alcohol addiction, and recently commented that the new gin is just a business. The Gardener French Riviera Gin is expected to hit US stores in limited quantities in September.
