Assuming that the US presidential election is held now, a poll has found that former US President Donald Trump will defeat Joe Biden.

On the 29th local time, the American political media ‘The Hill’ reported on the results of a survey conducted on 1990 voters for two days from the 23rd to the 24th by the Harvard University American Political Research Institute (CAPS) and the Harris Poll, an opinion polling institution.

According to the survey, when asked who they would vote for in the 2024 US presidential election today, 47% of respondents chose former President Trump.

President Biden was at 41%. 12% answered ‘don’t know’.

In a virtual confrontation between former President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Trump led 49% of Vice President Harris, 38%, by 11 percentage points.

“President Trump’s lead over Biden and Vice President Harris is a reflection of the problems Biden and his administration are facing with the voters, rather than his popularity,” said Mark Penn, co-director of the investigation.

Former President Donald Trump is the most preferred candidate for the 2024 presidential election by Republicans with 59%. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (11%) followed by former Vice President Mike Pence (10%).

Assuming Trump does not run, the Republican nominees are Governor DeSantis (28%), former Vice President Pence (24%), and Senator Ted Cruz (10%) in that order.

Assuming neither Biden nor former President Trump run for office, Vice President Harris has 40% of the vote. Florida Governor DeSantis was 38%.
